About the Speaker:
Greg McKnight
City of Murfreesboro Executive Director, Development Services
Greg McKnight was appointed Executive Director of Development Services, February 24, 2023. As Executive Director of the Development Services Division, McKnight has responsibility for the Planning, Building and Codes, and Community Development departments. The Division also oversees floodplain management, the city development process, and aspects of Engineering and urban environmental.
Greg McKnight served as Planning Director for the City of Murfreesboro overseeing the day-to-day management of 12 employees. Prior to becoming the Planning Director, Mr. McKnight served as the Director of Project Development for the City of Murfreesboro. He brought to this position significant project development, leadership, and personnel management experience from his past positions as president of Pinnacle Construction and project development services before joining City staff in 2019.
McKnight previously served as president of Pinnacle Construction as a project executive on large construction projects. McKnight, a 1991 graduate of the University of Tennessee-Martin, serves on the Main Street Murfreesboro Board of Directors.

Join MYP for our Monthly Professional Development Luncheon at Redstone Federal Credit union – 3rd floor from 11:30am-12:30pm on Wednesday, September 11.
There is no cost for attending and bringing your own lunch; however, if you would like a lunch provided from Domenico's, please pay $12 during registration. Registering AFTER Monday, September 9, will not have the option to order lunch.
Although registration is encouraged, if you become available at the last minute, please do not hesitate to swing by and join us. There is always room for more!
